Save the typing of full web addresses

How many times do we type http://somesitename.com or .org or .net and hit enter in the browser?

Here are a few browser independent shortcut keys that can save time and avoid the every time typing of http:// and .com/.net/.org.

Open the browser window and simply type the website name and simply press any of the key combinations :

Ctrl+ Enter if the domain suffix is .com

Shift + Enter if the domain suffix is .net

Ctrl + Shift + Enter if the domain suffix is .org

Examples :

For displaying www.avp-blogs.com,you can simply enter avp-blogs in address bar followed by Ctrl + Enter

For displaying www.asp.net,you can type asp in address bar followed by Shift + Enter

For displaying www.linux.org,type linux in address bar followed by Ctrl +Shift+Enter

These shortcut keys work in the usual browsers – Internet Explorer,Mozilla Firefox,Google Chrome.

Feel free to try this out and once you get used to it,you will save a lot of typing for which the fingers will thank you.
