Version 3.3.2 of WordPress has just been released which is mainly for resolving security vulnerabilities that were discovered in previous versions.
Plupload, SWFUpload and SWFObject which are WordPress libraries used for uploading media and embedding Flash content have been updated by this release.
Other issues that are resolved in this latest release are :
- Cross-site scripting vulnerabilities when making redirects after posting comments in older browsers and making links clickable.
- Vulnerability where a network of WordPress blogs can be affected by deactivating plugins by site administrator.
As always, it is best to keep WordPress installation updated so as not to run the risk of being compromised. To make sure WordPress is updated to the latest version :
Go to Dashboard > Updates. Click the “Check Again” if the update notification for this newest version has not been received.
