Skype Releases Official Application For Windows Phone

Skype has announced the release of official client for Windows Phone and will be supported on phones running version 7.5 Mango and above. The application supports the ability to make voice and video calls everywhere and free among Skype users while charging attractive rates for calls to cell phones and landlines over either Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G networks.

This application is also now available in 18 languages: English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, European Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, and Traditional Chinese.  It is free to download and use. Skype has around 200 million monthly users across various platforms like phones, tablets and computers. It was acquired last July by Microsoft and already has official app for Android as well as iPhone before this latest announcement.
