How to always run programs with admin rights in Vista

Most applications need administrator access to ensure they run smoothly in Vista.
I had explained why this is required in an earlier post of mine.

A simple way to make sure admin access is granted to a specific application everytime it runs is by just changing it’s privilege level.

To do this, right click on the desktop icon of that application, here I am using The Journal application as an example.

Go to Compatibility tab and select the setting “Run this program as an administrator“.

Once activated, the application will now always execute with admin rights.
